Hairy Situation!
Well, all I can say is THANK GOD FOR PEANUT BUTTER! And, thank God Alyssa isn't allergic to it! :-) I could have baked two batches of peanut butter cookies with the amount it took to get the gum out of her hair, but the hair is saved! I'm not so sure about the tub and bathroom! I'll get to those again later.
GUM!!!!!!!!!!!
I just noticed Alyssa has a wad of gum in her hair about half and inch from her scalp. Off we go to try to save the hair! We'll let you know what happens.
Busy Weekend
Friday night we had Tracy's 40th Birthday party - a total surprise to him. We had it at the school where he is the board president, and we embarrassed him just enough. The girls sang a song about their dad, his friends roasted him, and I did a David Letterman style top 10 list about him. We ordered a ton of barbecue from Railhead - his favorite. We spent the night at his house and played on his new Wii the next day. The Wii was really neat - I think we'll eventually get one for my boys - they had a lot of fun, and Jonathan was really good at it.
This week Jonathan has vacation bible school - his first one ever. He's really excited. He left this morning all grins. I can't wait until he gets home to see what he thought.

Boxes and Bad Luck
It was really weird that yesterday we got three boxes in the mail. All of our orders came in at the same time. Our coffee pot from Gevalia quit working, so they shipped me another one for free. My order from VS came in, and Jonathan's Indiana Jones Video Game came as well. We had a blast playing it last night.
I'm really tired today, though. I never sleep well when Richard isn't here, so last night was not fun. We also had a lot of storms come through with lots of lightening here. So, of course, I had two munchkins in my bed with me. The electricity was off for a long time this morning while I was trying to get ready, so that slowed me down since none of my hair appliances would work. Then on my way to work, I ran into a lot of traffic. The bridges over the lake were shut down because of a wreck, and there were tons of emergency vehicles around. So, I went the long way. It took me an hour to go less than 30 miles - UGH! Anyway, I finally made my workshop where I got to hear a bunch of speakers talk all day - again, UGH!
Richard and I have been doing South Beach again, so today when I went with my teachers to Johnny Carino's, I got salad and vegetable soup - double UGH! The warm, crunchy bread was calling my name, but I told it to shut up. :-)
Tonight, the kids and I went Father's Day shopping on the way home, and we also checked Dad's garden (where we found a ripe tomato the size of a baseball and three cherry tomatoes), all of which made us miss Richard more. But, at least we have time to do our FDay stuff with him not here. I can't wait for tomorrow afternoon when my workshop is OVER and my summer continues!

Big Daddy & Loose Tooth

Well, our Big Daddy TV arrived today. Richard and Jonathan are in hog heaven playing their Star Wars Lego Games on it. Until we get our stand we ordered, it is sitting on my craft table. So, it currently takes up half our living room!
And, today Jonathan called me to say he has his first loose tooth. The dentist told me it was a little loose, but today Jonathan finally noticed it. Nana, Alyssa, and JC did a "loose tooth parade" to celebrate. I made sure the tooth fairy had cash just in case it came all the way out! :-)
Today I went in to work at 8:30, which was really nice! Normally it is 7:15, so I love days when I can go late. We had our luncheon today at a steak house on the lake, which was really nice. We got done around 2:30, so I got to leave. I went shopping and had a moment to myself which was relaxing.
Tonight at dinner I stuffed two huge tomatoes we grew in our garden with ground turkey, tomatoes, cheese, and spices and baked them. They were delicious. My basil is really taking off, so I will be using it this week as well. Yum!
